Hi

Is there anybody who have or had have problem with Vuescan like I do and
know how fix it.

Problem is numeric field which are too narrow to see full number-set on
field.

On field, there is full number, but only first number is visible.

Example : Scanning dia-slide make set on "Crop" selection, field "X
size" there is number like "36.5" (mm).

Only number 3 is visible, rest of number is hide, because field
(visibility) is only one number wide.

When move to that field and move on field (with arrow-key in keyboard)
to right and left. Then can see and check full

number, but you have to do that with all numeric field. Those all are
not enough wide to see full number on field.

I check all settings what imagine, but there is not anything what help with
field size or I don't find it.

I have on computer:

RADEON 9200SE adapter with 64 MB memory AGP 8X.

Driver version 6.14.10.6404

AMD BARTON 2500 prosessor

512 MB system memory.

All system on normal, not anything speeding

Windows XP

I thought at Windows XP is guilty, because it was for another problem, what
I had have with color of Vuescan.

That problem makes Vuescan to white and look cheap. I try other version too
and all number 8 do same thing. Then I try old version 7.6 and then color is
gray as should be.

That happened because first I have "Display properties - Appearance"
settings on "Windows XP- style"

I also try with two another computer, which have Windows XP. Those both have
same problem. Those use RADEON 7200 adapter and MATROX Millenium II.

Bought look right when set "Display properties - Appearance" settings on
"Windows XP- style". So Now I Know at color-problem can repair and how to do
it.

And excellent part is at MATROX do look right, after setting Display
properties. But it is old and slow, that's why I cant use it for normal
scanning. Also I do not have money to spend for new adapter, I hope at
RADEON 9200 will work right with Vuescan. It have to something with
settings.

Is there anybody who had have same problem and fix it ?

Thank You

Well, I haven't checked in your long story whether you seen and tried
this from Ed's VueScan FAQs:
==================
"Prefs tab"

Font size (pt)
Use this option to set the font size used in VueScan. The font
size is specified in points, which are basically the same as pixels
on most systems.
The default value is 8 points.
Note that the display will jump when you change this option.

Option panel width
Use this option to set the width in pixels of the panel
containing the VueScan options.
The default value is 330 pixels.
Note that the display will jump when you change this option.
===================

If you set the Option panel width too small, you have a problem
reading the numbers as you say you do.

Try changing it!

But now I am ashamed.

I missed that part of Ed's VueScan FAQ.

Guilty was Option panel width, even without touching it.

When I installed program and it open first time it already was wrong,
mystery.

Font size was right.

Now it is much easier to use. :-)

Thank You
