The error message under this heading,[in the subject
line] reads; "this application has requested the runtime
to terminate in an unusual way, contact the applications
support team." Who is THAT? Its not allways easy to do
that so I'm contacting my first newsgroup. This error
message pops up ONLY when trying to access the internet
thru my husbands' user name. I am the primary user of
this computer and he only uses it a few times a month.
The internet CAN be accessed thru the other two users, so
its not a huge problem right now. Maybe someone out
there could enlighten me. I've only BEGUN to learn the
workings of a computer and recently installed the Norton
Anti-Virus System, and purchased the Spyhunter version
1.3.11, so I really did not want to run a system-restore
as was suggested buy the tech on the phone. My computer
is a Sony, new in May, and is running WindowsXP-Home.
This error popped up after my son, who is quite
knowledgeble about PC's, set up the Norton stuff. Not
sure if that would have anything to do with it though. It
was many days later the problem was discovered. I
anticipate that its a small detail that I just need a
little help with. My husband said he was just going to
switch his user over to the one that works, but I see
this as a problem that needs attention. Incidently my
computer-helper son was deployed to Bosnia so I don't
have his expertise to help me for awhile!
Thanks be to you who may respond!!!

I can't offer any help, but thought I would let you know
that I also bought a Sony in May, and have had hundreds
of "runtime error" messages, especially reading email.
My knowledgable son-in-law is stationed some 2,000 miles
away so I have no help either. Good luck on your
problem, I will be watching the responses, too. Don

Thanks for your response Don. I've not had any of those
errors pop up in my e-mail activities. I did get to
experience "the virus" tho, real fun for a new user.
Thats over for now. This is really a great site for
learning stuff- real people corresponding. As I learn
more I would love to help others. THANKS TO ALL YOU
HELPFUL EXPERTS!!!
GOD BLESS our military service-MEN and WOMEN!!
