Visual Basic .net standard 2003

I am getting an error message as follows when I try to create a solution,
windows application project etc ...

"The application for project 'C:\Program files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\vb7\VBWizards\WindowsApplication\Templates\1033\WindowsApplication.vbproj' is not installed.

Make sure the application for the project type (.vbproj) is installed"

When I verify the path stated, the WindowsApplication.vbproj file is present.

The installed reported a successfull install.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Why are you trying to open a project template?!

Try reinstalling the dot net framework and vs.net

Thanks Ken, removing the .NET framework and re-installing it worked perfectly
