I don't have such a file on my Vista. Google says it is most likely
either part of a Canadian on-line tax filing program, or a Windows ftp
client. Does either one sound familiar?

In either case it shouldn't prevent Vista from booting. How far does
your machine get before you see the error? Do you see a blue screen,
or a dialog box, or what?

Vista does the upgrade completely it's when it restarting for the xx time
it would go like a stand alone but the black screen "like in DOS" when it
should boot and it said "can't start Vista cause NetFile.sys is missing or
corrupt". It offers to boot on the dvd to repair but i try for 12 hours and
doesn't work. It did that twice on vista installation. So I have to insert my
ghost and reboot to go back on XP to talk to you

So if it's not on Vista I should find it on my computer and delete it but
did a search on XP with that file name (NetFile.sys)and no result. Is there
an other way to do a search for that file or just try again Vista??

I found a netfile on xp: windows\system32\macromed\flash10\
I supposed there's a lot of macromedia flash in vista for those transparent
windows?? could it be corrupt even if I buy a seeled version of ultimate in
a good store.....

sorry, the file is:NETFLT.SYS , I tried again and it goes like before saying
the file is missing or corrupt
