Vista's "shadow copy" and Outlook PST files

I noticed that it takes a LONG time for Outlook 2007 to close under
Windows Vista, longer (I think) than it should. I couldn't figure out
why, then it occurred to me that Vista might be making a shadow copy
of the PST file like it does for other files. So the questions are:

1) Assuming my suspicion is correct, is it possible to tell Vista to
exclude .PST files from its process of making backups of user files?

2) How do I go about doing so?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's Vista doing this. It might be a setting in Outlook. My
Outlook 2003 on Vista closes in a flash. Try posting in the Outlook forum.
