can anyone tell me which services i can disable from starting up

Go to the Run menu item (or use a Command Prompt) and type in msconfig
When that comes up, select the Services tab.
You can uncheck any services listed there.
Disabling Microsoft services could prevent the system from booting, so use
caution!
