Hi,
I am not sure how best to describe my problem.
I have windows Vista 64 and, as far as I can tell everything is working
as expected. It has 4Gb memory and 500Gb hd.
I also think I have a fairly 'conservative' bunch of applications.
Firefox, Skype, IE8, no games, no fancy tool bars/gadgets or anything
like that.
I have office 2007 and up to date with all the latest updates.
My anti virus is Avast, (the free one).
I use a router to go on the net, use the default windows firewall and
windows defender. I mostly ever only go on well known sites,
(http://www.skynews.com/ and the likes).
Everything works fine for a while, but sometimes, if I leave my computer
unattended for while it freezes, (but, it never freezes when I am
working on it).
The whole screen is frozen, and looking at the, (frozen), clock it looks
like it froze only minutes after I leave the computer unattended, (but
as I said, this does not always happen).
Are there any logs or anything I could check to explain what the problem
could be?
Could the search index be the problem?
Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance.
