Please please forgive this for being slightly off-topic. I use XP currently
on my desktop machine but would like to buy a laptop very soon so that I can
carry on with my web site work whilst on the move.

I'm assuming that new laptops will come installed with Vista as standard.
My question is will it have the IIS server (which I need) or do I need to
ask for an enhanced Vista or even a regression to XP Professional?

Thanks for anyone's response!

In general, you would do much better asking Vista questions in a Vista
newsgroup. But yes, Vista has IIS support. Google Vista IIS for more
information.

Both Vista Business and Vista Ultimate come with IIS 7.0, although it's
not installed by default.

If you wish to be assured of compatibility, some vendors, such as Dell,
still offer WinXP on some of their products.
