No one has actually seen the full install disk yet. Word from some who have
supposedly called Microsoft is that it does contain both 32 bit and 64 bit
on the full retail install disk. If your purchase decision depends on it,
I'd wait until February when you can know for sure.

In the retail full edition boxes are two dvd's. One x86 and one x64. Just
like the MSDN, TechNet, TechBeta, and CPP distributions during the beta and
RC phases. The final release full edition is two dvd's. The x86 dvd is
2.6GB and the x64 is 3.6GB. That's 6.2GB and way too much for both to be on
the same dvd.

What we have not had confirmed yet is the contents of the retail upgrade
edition boxes.

Lot's of people have seen the full install disks. We are using them. We
happen to have gotten them electronically rather than from a retail box.
This is how the enterprise dvd's are distributed all the time. The images
are exactly the same as the physical dvd's that will be distributed in the
retail stores.

since NO ONE has seen the actual retail boxes and their contents YET, it is still up in the air.
MS has said you have to call for the 64 bit version.
there is likely to be a difference between FULL and UPDATE versions box contents.

does vista come with both 32 bit and 64 bit on same disk when you buy full
install disk ?

We've seen the disk image. Not the disk. :)

We believe both disks will be in the package because we've been told that.
We will know that both disks are in the package when we see the package.
