Hi
I have an Acer 2490 laptop, running Vista Business.
After a few problems the system has been stable for a few months and running very well, well it was until the last Windows update.
After getting the automatic update last Tuesday, the laptop is taking at least 15 minutes to load after start up, sometimes I have to restart it.
There is a light on the front of the laptop showing the system running and this is running for long periods, where as before it ran, but not as much.
General program running is very slow and it is becoming very difficult to use the internet, screens take a long time to load up.
Has anybody else had this problem and is it worth contacting Microsoft??
I have checked the running programs, start up items and done a virus scan but nothing appears to be out of order.
As I said before, prior to the update the system was very reliable and I was pleased with the speed of the system and in fact was very pleased after reading some negative reviews.
Thanks for any help
Martin
