I have looked through the threads and although there are some threads that
are close to the problem I'm having my problem is a bit different. The
problem I'm having is that after an Microsoft update Vista on the restart
went to the F8 page and kind of stays there. Hit safe mode and the computer
simply cycles around to the F8 page again. I can't get the computer to go any
ware but the F8 page. No matter what I do I end up back at the F8 page!
Strange isn't it! Any ideas!

Boot with your Vista DVD install disk. You'll see where you can Repair Vista
instead of doing an install. If you have an OEM machine without a Vista
DVD, you can use this:

For people who only have a restore image - Windows Vista Recovery Disc
Download:
http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/

Once you've done this, you can try:

1. Repair Vista Startup. If this doesn't work,
2. Run System Restore to before you installed whatever update it was. Then
change your Windows Update settings from Automatic to "Download but let me
know" and look at the updates. If any are for drivers, don't install them.
