Hi all,
I am VPN'ing into a vista workstation(host) through the internet with
a vista client and I connect just fine. I have private ip's setup for
the VPN connection 192.168.17.xxx and the actual one nic interface has
a public IP 68.86.xxx.xxx. I have enabled ICS on the Vista Host and I
want the Vista client to be able to surf the web using the host as a
proxy.
the problem is that ICS does not appear to route or nat the traffic
out to the internet and any traffic that tries to go beyond the Vista
host fails.
I have setup a bogus loopback adapter on the host to simulate two nics
but I am not sure how to resolve the problem as I have read that ICS
does not work without 2 nics. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I
cannot find anything on google to address this issue in Vista, Thank
you.
