What is it - a costly upgrade or a service pack, which would have to be
free otherwise?

Lets say you paint my house.
Three years later, I want you to paint it again for free, cause it don't
look new anymore.
You gonna do it?

General answer - no.

But imagine now, I painted your house 3 years ago, but a few weeks later
the paint started to flake off, your old fridge - compatible with the
old painting stopped working immediately and your front door started to
question you every time you come home after a beer with your friends?

Software doesn't wear out, moron, like paint exposed to the elements.
Try another analogy.

What Vladimir was saying has nothing to do with painting your house, he was
merely describing Windows 7 as an SP3 to WinVista and hence it should be
free, don't you agree?
If you are so eager to pay for it, I can't blame Microsoft for taking
advantage. You see now what you got us into?

How would a company like MS survive if they made eternal

Sounds reasonable. What would happen to MicroSoft's profits if they do
their job properly the first time in 2007...
I am sure you would not like if your employer told you that he will
give you full pay for the first year only, but for the following 25
years you will have to work for free.

I would not like it at all. Especially, if I would be doing good
whatever I am doing. Does that mean that the worst enemy of MicroSoft
are themselves with reasonably well working Windows XP and Office 2003?
Vista is a fiasco comparing to XP, so now they have to produce
"something" like Vista 7 in order to kick start that cash flow again?

Well you are perfectly free to ditch Windows - there are several
alternatives, some of which are free....

Once you've been paid to dump the trash, they no longer need to pay you
for that task ever again.

Good plan.
I like it.
New employee handbooks are going out next week.

Did you a handbook in your mama's womb about not bring an a-hole?

Err - And you are perfectly free to sit on your Net Cop badge. Err. Make
sure the pointy edge is facing up. Err <sigh>

Paint done right last more than 3 years.
Software does wear out, ubuntu is only good for 6 months, then it needs a
new version.
It just wears out faster.

Software wears out in 6 months but wears thin in a few days!

Windows 7 is a new version Operating System. You want it - you pay or be
like Alias and use that INFERIOR Ubuntu that has to shove a new version out
there every 6 months.

Clarification: Software wears out in 6 months but wears thin in a few
days!

(Because Alias will be a total dick and make some stupid comment)

Write your own OS.
But, you can't.

I got you into this?
Yes, a young punk who blames the world for his/her inadequacies.
Splendid.

Your comments are totally irrelevant and evidence of ignorance.

Since I have plenty of money, and buying 100 copies of Windows 7 would not
stir my cornflakes, I'd say you are irrelevant!

Just cut one of the boxes real small then you can stir your cornflakes.
Don't remove the plastic.

I don't like you, you suck.

Are you going to throw a tantrum next? So you don't like him, BFD. I don't
like Alias but I enjoy annoying him on a daily basis.

Win7 or Ubuntu, but no more Vista, eh?
