Will these features
be available in Vista? Based on the specs Vista requires, they better have
these because this OS requires less!

Yes, its called AERO, and it contains a stunning set of animations that are
more functional and productive, known as visual cues. Thes include, Flip,
Flip 3D, Taskbar Thumbnails just to name few. Also, you don't have compile
your video card drivers to use it. You can get drivers from ATI or nVidia or
they come bundled with Vista.

By what I've seen according to this:

http://en.opensuse.org/Xgl#Hardware_Advisory

The requirements are about the same as they are for Aero Glass. Aero
Glass's requirements are only a tiny bit higher, but not hardly much more at
all.
An FX5100/5200 NVIDIA video card or a Radeon 9500 are minimum with 64MB of
video RAM. Notice how a Radeon 9200 according to this website can't handle
it well. The other major requirements are for Vista itself and not as much
the Aero Glass.

To be honest André, I really don't think their will be. They already said
that Beta 2 was feature complete, and the whole Aero "Diamond" or the vector
Glass, it'd be practically impossible for most computers to run the spec.
that people have claimed.

Wrote an article about vector Glass and how it's not coming - we're
expecting an official statement from Microsoft today hopefully.

What is your problem? Did you hear me say anything about any stupid Aero
Diamond? Stop putting stupid assumptions in my mouth, I am not like you. If
you didn't know, Vista is still not optimized for performance, we don't know
if the UI requirements will change, its still too early and like Steve
Ballmer says, there is still a lot of work to do.

Nothing I mentioned in my previous post related to new themes and you have
to come with this non-sense, I was obviously talking about performance.

Nooo - totally misconstrude my post then. Wasn't critising you whatsoever
:o) I was just saying that I do think that some of the surprises have indeed
come and gone - and was making a point about "true Glass" which was rumoured
around the web, and that it's very very unlikely that it's not coming, and
indeed never existed.

There was a C9 video about how the UI was complete (with a few minor tweaks)
according to Jenny Lam, and although Ballmer said that, I honestly believe
he means bug fixes etc.
