Can someone tell me what version of Vista is required
as an OS for a .NET 2005 developer. I don't want
to install .NET on the wrong version.

Thanks,
mm

You can install on any, but you will need Home Premium or greater to use
IIS.

There are a couple of tricks to getting everything working, including SP1 +
Vista patch and enabling IIS 6 functionality.

You need to go to Vista Ultimate, Business or Enterprise, because Front Page
Extensions comes with IIS 7 in those versions of the O/S(s) and it doesn't
come on Vista Home or Premium.

I hear there is some kind of patch to make IIS7 work like it does on Premium
like the higher versions of the O/S(s) that may have Front Page Extensions,
but I don't know for sure.
