Vista Ultimate Lite?

I've seen a reference to Vista Ultimate Lite on another group - the only
references I can find on Google seem to be Bit-Torrent downloads.
Is this a kosher MS version, or is it a cracked pirated version?

Stay away from sources that are not clearly authorized by MS. If you use
them, you are going to lose data. Pay for a legit copy, (of which an
Ultimate"lite" version is called 'Business' or "Enterprise' with no Media
Center)
The work pirates do is ten times as much as the work it takes to earn the
money to buy it.

I wasn't going to buy it - I've got a legitimate copy of Vista Home Premium!
I was just interested as to whether it was a "proper" MS version or not. If
not, I was going to respond to the person who posted a problem with it that
they made their bed and should lie in it!

Hi Gordon

I think you are thinking of 'VLite'
http://www.vlite.net/

beware, this is ano MS authorised -
----
vLite is a tool for customizing the Windows Vista installation before
actually installing it.

Main features are:

* hotfix, language pack and driver integration
* component removal
* unattended setup
* tweaks
* split/merge Vista installation CDs
* create ISO and burn bootable CD/DVD

There is no "Ultimate -lite" available through legitimate sources, and
'reverse engineering' the Windows source breaks the EULA, as clearly
stated in every one of them.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks, but no I'm not. This person posted a problem with "Vista Ultimate
Lite" and from the content of the post I would assume that the OP wouldn't
know HOW to customize an install of Vista...

pirated. Never download MS products from Bit-torrent.
There could be viruses in them.
