I read an earlier post here that there will be a Vista trial starting on
Dec. 1st. I just wanted to know if MS will limiting the number of downloads
like they did with RC2? Also, will we be able to start downloading midnight
Thursday or Friday morning?

Thanks in advance.

No one here has any way to know that. You will have to wait for it show up
on microsoft.com.

I don't think anyone here knows for sure whether or not that was just a
rumor. MS has said that an Office 2007 trial will be available December 1st,
but I have not seen anything definitive about a Vista trial . . . source
below . . .

"Try. Starting Dec. 1 in the U.S. and Canada, and coming soon after to an
additional 13 international markets,* Microsoft will make available free,
downloadable product trials via Office Online. Expanding on the Online Test
Drive already available today, the trials will allow people to try the new
desktop programs before they decide to buy or upgrade to the 2007 release."

There's nothing in the MS Press Room (or on any other official site that I've
seen) suggesting that a Vista trial is anything more than wishful thinking.

But I guess we'll know for sure later this week.

LOL, yeah, that was the thread where in Jupiter Jones explains his opinion:

"The 30 days is simply to give the user time to complete setting up the
computer before activation. Hardware changes can and often do trigger
activation. There is 30 days to take care of those or any other similar
issues... It obviously is not a trial."

I don't know but don't think that I've ever heard a better definition of
a trial software period, LOL.

Thanks for the responses guys! I went and found the topic that I was
referring to. It's from Nov. 9th entitled "Windows Vista RTM Free Trial"
started by NewsHound. According to that thread, it's suppose to be a 120
day trial. I checked out the MS site and couldn't find anything so I'll
just wait til Friday to see what happens.
