Hello I am trying to get my laptop to print from my vista pc. I have tried a
ton of the things suggested. I either get an access denied error or network
path not found error.

I can see the laptop from the vista computer and the pc from the xp but I
cannot connect. I tried disabling the password option also and it still will
not connect.

I have called Gateway. Who makes my new computer and they will not offer any
support on this issue. I am ready to sell it.

I need it to work with my home based business. I need to connect to my
printers.
Thank you
Chrissy

Hi Chrissy. There are two main steps you need to do to share a printer from
a Vista machine (I'm assuming the printer is connected to your Vista
machine, but if not, let me know):

1. enable printer sharing in Network and Sharing Center
2. share the printer by right-clicking it and clicking Share

Did you do both of these?

Thanks,
Gloria

Hello Gloria,
Yes I did both those.

There is a software called NetWorkMagic which should eliminate all network
and sharing problems.

I had some other network issues between Vista and XP, I downloaded the free
version and it worked like magic!

check it out! http://www.networkmagic.com/

Do you download it in both computers?
