My Windows Vista stopped responding irregulary, without any error.
The last thing I installed was Apple's quicktime.
Removed the i-tunes part, via control panel of course. Now everything
seems to be working fine again.

I'll keep you posted if this was not the right solution. Will try to
contact Appledoze.

Spread the word !

Cheers,
Pol.

I tunes has nothing to do with setup/install. Many itunes threads are on
the general group. I believe Itunes is an Apple product and a competitior
of Zune.

I've run Itunes with the Ipod on several Vista builds for a good while with
no problem. One tip though that I got from one of the guys who manages Ipod
as to Vista. They are making some changes which I've never needed to
enhance Vista compatibility in the future but in the meantime:

1) Change the drive letter to far away from J for the IPOD something toward
the end of the alphabet. Do this at diskmgmt.msc in the run box.

2) Plug your ipod into the box and when Itunes pops up click the triangle to
the left of Drew's Ipod or whatever you call it>then on the interface with
tabs scroll down to Options for Manually manage music and Enable Disk Use
and check them.

E-I is reserved for network drives in XP/Vista--any hardware or network or
USB device. Sometimes in Vista there can be conflicts when an external
device with its own power supply Ipod or Nano uses one of those letters.
