Hi I was woundering if any one can help with my problem, vista installs with
no problems at all untill it reboots for the first time to start, I see the
welcome screen then it stops for about 4-5 mins, then loads the main screen
but then stops again for 4-5 mins then if i click on an icon , you guest it,
it stops for 4-5 minutes. this happens all the time and i have tried it on
Beta 2, RC1 and 5728 both 64bit and 32.
I think it is something to do with my graphics card 6200GT Turbo. but then i
took that out and ran it on the onboard video, still the same.
mb is a MSI rc410 with 256mb pci G card 3ghz P4 and 1gig of ram with a
200gig SATA hd.
Sorry for the long post but this is doing my head in!!!
Thanks Basky

I've got the same motherboard and the same problem, (MSI ATI RC410), Celeron D 3.06, 1gb ram, Sata and PATA drives (Installed on PATA), with an ATI x1600 PCI-E card).

It hangs and locks up at the login screen, with or without the ATI card plugged in, it'll stop at the login screen, leaving it, or hitting keys it's possible to sometimes coax it to the desktop, but soon afterwards it locks. pressing the power button kicked it back to life once, as it needed to ask what I wanted to do, but then it locked again, moaning that a 16bit application was using to many files and that I should increase the amount of files specified in the config.sys, then the machine was pretty much frozen. Odd, Didn't even realise it had 16 bit app support....
I'm still playing around with it.
