Is Microsoft keeping up the tradition of releasing Step By Step course for
VISTA? The XP series were good.

OEM site does not mention it yet or I don't know where to look.

Thanks

That is a good book. I was looking at that for a class I was going to teach
some seniors.

As in 12th graders, college students, or those old enough to have been
members of AARP for at least 10 years? ;-)

AARP seniors. High school seniors probably know a lot more than this book
would cover!

Then why do they give me a regular Coke when I ask for Diet Coke?

(Sorry - pet peeve)

Good at computers, not at following directions. That comes in the
mid-twenties! :) [I'm 31 and a man, so I'm at least a little better at
following directions, just not asking for them!]

I just read that over 50% of students aren't learning cursive writing
anymore, and spelling isn't a big issue now that we have computers to type
with and spellchecker. That's redikulis. :)

I dislike misspelled words (they could be typos) but posting in SMS text
drives me nuts!

Before you order the Step By Step book, take a look at the Missing Manual
Series. Vista for Starters is well-written. Not as "cutesy" as the Dummies
books (I have several) but not as advanced as the Inside Out books (ditto).
I've been reviewing some of the MM books and am really impressed with them.
