I've got a really annoying bug in mine WITHOUT SP1 (I count as general
public). Basically the network has shut down as far as my comp is
concerned.
I get internet but I can't see the network and the network can't see me.
The
"connect to wireless network" window takes minutes to open and i can't
access
the "network and sharing center" at all. I've made a resolution to
reinstall
windows because i think that'll fix the problem (if that doesn't, what
will,
right?), but I've made a new resolution to wait to see if SP1 fixes it
before
i go ahead with all the trouble of reinstalling. The fabled stability (in
Vista? now way!) sounds great. personally i want it to be as stable as
possible before it reaches the general public (although Microsoft could be
a
little more realistic with their release dates. I mean, come on - SP1 was
to
be released in November. It's been 5 months. (although, with Vista's
trend,
that's not bad. lol)

OK, so "Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista [released] to manufacturing"
see:

Before you get too excited, note that: "In mid-March, we will release
Windows Vista SP1 to Windows Update". So the bottom line is, we have to
wait
another month.
Come on guys, you let us download the beta, why not the RTM?
The release is staggered to allow for any additional feedback firstly
from
the technical beta testers and dev partners on the closed programs, then
the
system builds, then MSDN/TechNet subscribers and finally the general
public
release.
If your system is OK now and fully patched then the changes and updates
in
SP1 will have little significant impact on you so there is no rush.
Or do you have a specific issue that is fixed in SP1 and was not
available
as a general hotfix or a support available one? or require a particular
new
feature ?
