Does anyone know how to configure Solitaire so that you don't receive a nag
screen asking if you want to resume your saved game when you open a new
game? I have not saved the previous game, nor have I checked in Options
that I automatically want to save games. TIA for any light you can shed on
this. Jef

you mean you do not know how to configure the only application vista can run
without problems?
The very application that most people buy vista for???

Shame!!!!

By the way.. Microsoft never paid the programer that wrote the original
solitaire....
yet I am sure its the program that has shown on windows screens more than
anything else.

No I DONT play solitaire.. EVER.

Try this:

On the Start Menu, click on Games (on the right side of the menu). In the
Games folder, right-click Solitaire, and choose Saved Games. Delete the
file Solitaire.SolitaireSave-ms in the folder that appears. Solitaire will
keep asking you if you want to play your saved game as long as that file is
in C:\Users\(Your Name)\Saved Games\Microsoft Games\Solitaire.

"Microsoft never paid..."
Please post the source.
Or is this yet another example of partial or false truths by you in
your quest?

"the only application vista can run without problems"
In order for you to make this claim, you would have to have knowledge
of ALL applications and their successes and failures with Vista.
I doubt you have, but you are free to prove that statement that is
most likely FALSE as other statements you make.

Please post the source.

Awhhhh ok.. here is a link to this information
http://www.answers.com/topic/microsoft-solitaire

As for the solitair and vista, see this video that explains everything

My advice? Whenever you encounter me on this newsgroup, put a sock in it and
start listening for a change. You might learn something.

You're really a freaking moron aren't you!
Again you didn't bother to read the article instead you post that
...."Microsoft never paid the programmer that wrote the original
solitaire". Which is very misleading. Your posting implies that MS
stoled solitaire from Wes. Not true at all.
The article states...."Wes Cherry developed the game as a Microsoft
intern but was never paid directly for its creation. ~ Skyler Miller,
All Game Guide".
Wes Cherry was..."never paid directly..." do you understand what that
actually means? Obviously not. It does not mean he was not being paid
while working at MS, but that he was not paid for specifically
developing the solitaire game. Which is common practice.
You've never worked for a major company have you? Otherwise you'd know
that when you're hired all of your inventions, innovations, patents,
etc., are the sole property of the company. That means all intellectual
property rights & patents, etc., rights of all things you come up with
belong to the company and you signed that agreement on or before your
first day at work.
This is standard throughout industry.
Ask any engineer.
Frank

Ready the article you quote.
We have already seen you do not pay attention to your own post so
missing something in an article you quote is about par.
Anyways, here is the relevant part:
"...never paid directly for its creation."
It does not say he was not paid.
More than likely there was appropriate compensation for the position
he had at the time.
This is about what I expected from you, a partial truth you attempted
to manipulate to FALSELY show Wes was not paid.
Of course if you have proof Wes was not paid at all and Microsoft
wronged Wes, we look forward to your facts.

"Whenever you encounter me on this newsgroup, put a sock in it..."
You really need to heed your own advice.
You have WRONGLY called me a liar...TWICE, and that is a FACT.
You clearly initially denied it even though the facts were clear for
all to see.

"You might learn something."
Like what?
FALSELY calling people a liar?
Giving half truths in the hopes the facts do not come out?
These types of things are learned from you and best avoided.

Your own history of half truths designed to forward your agenda fall
flat in face of facts.
Your need to FALSELY call liar because it contradicts the fiction you
so wish to believe shows your character in clear light.
You appear incapable of plain honesty.

HAHAHAHA!!! That's great! Speaking of learning something maybe you should
learn what an internship is.

Gee, yet another name? What's the matter? Did the other 6+ get put on too
many kill files?

Interns are not usually paid except, maybe, he got a free copy of
