Vista security updates fail

When I download Security Updates for Vista, after the computer is restarted
either it goes into an endless startup shutdown loop (from which I have to
recover) or it starts Vista ok but the Update center says that all the
updates failed. Error code is 80070003. I have followed the step recommended
to fix this (more than once) and it still happens. Any suggestions ?

Robin,
Time to contact Microsoft update support.
They will provide procedures for you to get the problem fixed.
Or at least they have several times for me with 2000 and XP.
Before you do, try deleting all temporary files and removing all
cached files and run it again. Sometimes it is a bad registry entry
and MS will provide a procedure that cleans these out as well.
