Some of my folders, mostly the ones in my user folders, have a little
arrow in the bottom left hand corner when I view them in explorer.
When I try to open them, like "Documents and Settings", I get a
dialogue box that tells me the location is not available and access is
denied. This happened somewhere along the time I was installing
Office 2003. This Vista problems seems to be linked with some security
issue. have not found a way yet to get into these folders that are
giving me this message.

These folders are just junctions that point to their new locations. They're
meant to be used by applications that are hard coded to write to the old
applications so they can get forwarded to the new locations without
breaking.

Just ignore them and let them do their work. :)
