I have recently found that when I do searches from the Start Search and any
kind of search in Outlook 2007 it is no giving me any info back. I looked
in my Event viewer and see a error 3036 source: search Category: Gatherer.

Any ideas on how to fix my search?

hi unfortunatly i cant help but i am getting a similar problem, i have had
this error a total of 2303 times in the past hour. I asume this error occurs
whenever the pc or a program attempts to access the index? as this seems to
happen to me when I use variouse aplications and affects me most severly when
i play games, resulting in a complete hang which returns no bsod and is fixed
only with a hard reset.

I have tried rebuilding my search indexes and I think really now my problem
is pointing to my Outlook 2007. It appears searches from the start menu are
working, but not in outlook. That is why in the error in the event viewer I
am seeing it mention something about
mapi://{s-1-5-21-189038056-1230993814-239210854-1668}. I wonder if this is
corrupt in some form.
