In Windows XP, you could use the following syntax to create domain-wide
stored passwords:
DOMAIN\*
This allowed to you connect to any resource in DOMAIN using the stored
credential set.
This no longer works in Vista. You either have to specify the full server
FQDN or create entries for netbios-named servers.
Anyone know why?
Also, you can no longer sync your domain password in the Stored Passwords
dialog box (another feature that was present in Windows XP).
Why the regression?
Regards,
Stuart.
