Vista RTM and Flash 9

Hi there,

Please could someone please help me. I have Vista RTM Business installed.
When i go to Adobe's
website the Flash player installs with no problem, "so it says" but then
when i go to some websites with flash on it , it asks me to install flash
before i can view it.

What can i do t resolve this ?

Go back to the Flash site at Adobe and use the uninstall utility to uninstall
Flash, then reinstall it. I too am having problems with Flash v9 and Vista
(Ultimate). I have a flickering problem with Flash objects on most web sites

Thanx for your Tip. It Worked. I uninstalled Flash 9 and reinstalled and it
worked.

Nico,

Should you experience that conflict again, again, un-install Flash Media,
and then go to the below Link for a better Clean auto-install for Flash Media
(learned the difficult method).

I don't know what's going on with Flash and RTM. Every 1-2 days I somehow
lose the flash player 9. I now have kept the Adobe uninstall tool on my hard
drive so that I can do a quick uninstall and re-install. Very strange.

Just a note on my previous post. I figured out how Flash keeps disappearing
on me. It was my fault.

I had the box for 'Downloaded Programs Files' checked in Disk Cleanup. I
guess there is a Shockwave Flash Object under that which kept getting deleted
everytime I ran Disk Cleanup.

For now I unchecked the box and it seems OK. It's kind of strange that one
is able to delete or deactivate Flash with Disk Cleanup. Hopefully it's a
flash issue and Adobe fixes it.
