Hi,

i've a notebook that work far away form our server and use a vpn to connect
to us. The vpn is configured on windows 2003 and try to assign static route
but it doesn't work. The notebook has a Vista Installed.
I try to set static route but if i don't specify the IF routing doens't work
(such as in windows xp)

There is a particular setting that is needed in windows Vista?

Thanks

Hi,

sure:

i've a list of addresses to route. I'm going to write 2 of this as e.g.

My VPN is on Subnet 192.168.19.X mask 255.255.255.0 the server (and router
also) is 192.168.19.1

on a client on another Subnet class i try to set this route

route add 10.60.40.160 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.19.1 -p
route add 10.32.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.168.19.1 -p

i've tryed adding the Intreface ID assigned after the VPN Connection but
unfortunately this number is dynamic. If you suppone that Windows assign the
15 id to the vpn connection (as shown at the beggining of the route print
command) i've execute this command
route add 10.60.40.160 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.19.1 if 15 -p

and it works. But (as I say) when i disconnect and then reconnect it doesn't
work cause the ID# change.

Thanks
Bye
