I have 2 HDD's one has XP on it and the other HDD has vista.__ I have
removed vista from the internal hdd and partitioned the drive and formatted,
the drive now shows empty __question is how do I stop the startup screen
showing the duel boot (IE) vista or earlier windows, If I let it boot from
the vista HDD I have an error asking for the Vista disk and use the repair
mode_______and there I go, thinking I new it all ! !

With kind regards From WillofAustralia

Right click on "My Computer" and select properties.
Select the advanced tab. Click the Settings button in the "Startup and
recovery section".
From there you can modify your startup options.

Boot into the Recovery Console from your XP CD.
Type the following lines, agreeing to allow Fixboot to rewrite the MBR:
Fixboot
Exit

Remove your XP CD and allow the computer to reboot into Windows.
