I have Vista now and since I've gotten it, when I send attachments in e-mail,
be they documents or photos, people are unable to open them. Also, if I want
to upload a resume to a job site, even though the document is in Word, my
file won't be accepted. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Which version of Word? If you have Office 2007, be sure to use 'Save As'
when you save a document so you can choose the more compatible older format.

The setting most possibly involved could be "Break apart messages larger
than ### KB"?

If this is set to operate on large messages, disable it, and test.

If it is not set, then set it to around 500KB, and test. The received parts
are re-combined by selecting each part while holding the Ctrl key and then
on the message menu select Combine & Decode.

The setting is on the advanced tab of the affected accounts properties.
Tools>accounts.

Many ISP's will not accept very large messages

HTH?

Make sure you save the document and exit Word before trying to attach it.
