Canon's 3-in-1 MP130 works well here. And there is a full range of Canon
drivers/printer models (among other brands) in the ADD PRINTER listings.

If you install the Photosmart 7150 as a Deskjet 990c it will work with
Vista. In the 'Add a Printer' dialogue, choose HP and 990c

Geo.

I tried this and it starts to feed the paper than stops. Any other ideas?

Using HP drivers or microsoft?

My 932C can use drivers from HP or builtin drivers from MS albeit this in
XP. In Vista MS installed drivers for my 932c, never bothered to try HP for
drivers. I don'tt have vista installed at the moment though

lol, same boat ur in got the new vista system up but none of my accessories
work my printer did at first under system ad new printer but stopped after i
reset my computer message comes up" insert cd 'drivers dont work ,,,,,,ive
called hp and they said in about two weeks there going to start releasing
drivers on the hp site

I have a Canon F80.When I did the upgrade advisor it said I would have no
problems with it. There are no drivers on Canon's site for this printer for
Vista. It is also USB and when I go into the Add Printer I don't have a
selection for a usb port. Vista recognized it as a printer and it shows up in
the device manager under other devices. Any ideas???

I have a Canon i860 which is several years old.

When I plugged it in after installing Vista Ultimate, a window popped up
concerning the printer, two clicks and the drivers were installed and the
printer was working.

Really easy and I didn't have to visit the Canon website because the Drivers
are built into the OS.

I have tried everything possible to get my HP PSC 500 to work with Vista, I
had no problems with XP. The driver is there, but it presents an error when I
go to print. I have contacted HP and they tell me because my machine, which
is in perfect working condition, is 5 yrs old it will not work with Vista. I
find this totally unacceptable and would like to find a solution to this
other than spending more money unneccessarily to get a 2nd printer that I
don't want or have room for
Any real suggestions out there?

The solution to your problem isn't going to change. Buy another printer.
That's just the way it is.

In addition to what Bob said, it's very important that the
drivers be installed *before* the printer is connected to
the computer. This seems to be a requirement with almost all
HP drivers.

You can do an in-place upgrade first instead of a fresh install. Insert the
dvd at the desktop and click install now. Pay careful attention to any
compatibility report. You will need to go to WU and bring the system back
up to date with patches but you will not have to reinstall any apps.
