Vista RC2 won't install

Hi, I have a pretty high powered computer that I have been running vista RC1
on for a while. I figured I would try out the media center capabilities so I
put in a VisionTek XTASY 550 tv tuner card. Vista would not boot, not even
in safe mode unless I removed the card. I figured that since RC2 was out I
would try that install. It gets to the point where the progress bar is at
the bottom of the screen and hangs indefinitely. I tried the x86 and x64
version, both with the same result.

I thought there must be some hardware conflict so to confirm this I went to
XP Media Center 2005, and it installed fine. What gives?

Are you doing a fresh install, or are you trying to upgrade from RC1? I have
heard that upgrades from RC1 will not work. I had to install XP pro on my
system to install. For some reason, I had difficulty doing a fresh install as
well. I hope that helps.
 
I can't even get to the point where I get to choose, it hangs before there is
any opportunity for user input.
