ive just installed RC1 and on the first boot it crashes as soon as the dots
get onto the second line, ive tried re-installing re-fornatting and
everything, it is a clean install aswell

How did you get RC1? If you are able, you are probably better off getting
RTM

I got it in the mailk and i ordered it from microsoft for 5 USD

whats the diff with RTM?

The difference is the RTM license does not expire. All of the beta versions
will expire.

any ideas if there will be a special price for the vista beta 2 users? how

There will not be a special price for beta 2 users. Also, all beta and RC
licenses are evaluation licenses and as such do not qualify for upgrade
pricing. You will need a retail full edition. You might be able to use the
upgrade functionality of a full edition to avoid having to do a clean
install of Vista rtm, but most users will tell you that a clean install is a
better idea.
