Why won't Vista let me move the Quick Launch toolbar to the left of the
screen like I have it in Windows XP? This is where I like it but whenever I
try to drag it over there, it will only move the whole taskbar. The taskbar
is unlocked but that doesn't help. Anybody found a way to do this?

They removed the ability.

try hitting the right spot and you'll be able to move it.

You can move it, but you first need to unlock the task bar (right click,
uncheck "Lock the Taskbar). Now grab the little handle to the left of the
quick launch bar and drag it over.
