I use XP and really like it. How does VISTA compare. Are all the "horror
stories" that the maccis are spreading, true?

Carry out research on the requirements & specs for running Vista, if up
grading current PC, ensure all hardware can be upgraded to Vista
requirements, if you still wish to be able to run your older programs, check
if there are upgrades/patches to Vista compatability.
available.
When you read thru posts in discussion groups you will find that a clean
install is preferred to just an upgrade.
Also remember the discussion groups are generally used by user with
problems/ little is written about the good points and even though there
appears to be quite a few problems with Vista, it still only represents a
small percentage of all Vista users.
Ask yourself do I really need to upgrade to Vista, what do you use a PC for?
If you are just a user who wants to save a few pictures/ write a few
letters/ browse the internet & email, etc. and XP is running smoothly. stay
with XP?????
If you wish to experience where the development of PC OS is heading and are
willing to put up with some possible 'teething problems' go for Vista
No new OS has ever been released with out any flaws, whether that be 'open
source", etc. or MS.
My personal experience with Vista is that I have far more positives than
negatives

If YOU decide to upgrade to Vista, have patience & understanding and do'nt
blame anyone but yourself for your decision.

XP received just a much criticism & problems when it was released and after
various SP's and hundreds of patches/upgrades is now considered a sound OS.

Happy Computing

If advise given from anyone, solves problem or not, or if solved from
another source, post back & let us know.

I couldn't have said it better.
