I just got this new computer in August with Windows Vista. I have been so
incredibly disappointed in Vista. Would love to have my XP system back but I
would have to buy it and it would void by warranty on the new computer. The
system freezes up often and windows mail does not work half the time. I am
having to use my hotmail account most of the time. Are there any patches or
downloads I can do to help this system? At this point I wish I had kept my
old computer. I did try a couple downloads but they both said they were not
applicable to my system. Thanks for any help I can get.

How long has the computer been a problem? Have you contacted the vendor?

What do you run that makes it freeze other than Windows Mail?

My Kodak software causes it to freeze up quite often. Windows Mail is a
problem a lot of the tme although it doesn't cause the system to freeze up.
What it does is that I can't reply to email. I can click reply and it brings
up the reply box but there is nothing in it....just a blank box and I can't
type in it at all.
I did contact Gateway and asked if I could downgrade to XP and was told I
could but I would have to buy it and then it would void my warranty. Do you
think it's not Vista but the actual computer? Thank you
