Vista problems

Following on from when my system crashed and driver problems I just now need
to know how to get rid of some of the old files which have automatically been
stored in a folder called Windows.old and when I try to delete some of their
contents it says that I don't have permission to do so.

I did have another topic open on this but after going on holiday it was
removed for some reason.

You need to take ownership of the folder (since it was 'owned' by your
previous Windows installation).
You can do it the long and tedious way:
