Has anyone had any issues with adware or spyware getting into the sytem
without the pop up warning notification. A vista tech support rep acually
advised me that i did not need a virus protection cause it was totally safe.
Any thoughts on this matter ?

never listen be safe have a virus protection program even if its free en
crap (compared to others) like AVG free edition or even ewido

if you have UAC turned on, every foreigned exe files or process try to run
alway need your permission. and I can said that it's pretty much safer
compared to previous OS until other security hole is exploited.

I don't know about anybody here, but I've been using many computers since
1989 until now, I've never installed any kind of virus software on any of my
computer. And I was lucky enough that I've not got a virus or any kind of
adware in my system. And I surf internet heavily everyday. Of course, I did
try installing a norton anti-virus when it first came out and I feel it bog
down system more than it really helps, so I quit messing with anti-virus
soft since then... Anti-virus term doesn't exist in my vocabulary.

I am just simply sharing my experience, however, not everybody have the
same luck.!!
