Vista Problem with X800GT

Hi gang,

My X800GT and BenQ 19" monitor are both capable of 1280x1024 resolution
but will only give me 1024x768 :(

Anyone else have this problem ... know any solutions?

I downloaded and am using the very latest Vista Radeon driver set from
ATi.

Iyotaken,

Go into the Catalyst Control Center and check the maximun refresh rate.
My Samsung display was only showing 1280 x 1024 but it is a 1600 x 1200
display. The refresh rate was at 75 Hz and not 60Hz.

Thanks for the pointer!

I actually found I needed to tell it (via control centre) that it could
refresh the lcd at 75 Hz and then delete the reference to a "default
monitor." This was my TV set which the X800GT can only drive to 1024x768.

Thus the limitation of resolution. Man, what a dog's breakfast to rectify :(
