On one of my computers, windows 2000 BETA is installed. Would this upgrade
work with it seeing how windows Me is the base of the BETA installation or do
I need to get the full installation?

Windows 2000 is not based on Windows Me, it's based on Windows NT 4. If
it's a beta version it will not qualify for an upgrade of any kind
whatsoever so you'll need a clean install and a full version of Vista.

Wow, would an 8-yo computer be worth upgrading to Vista? Or did you install
the beta on a newer PC? Don't these betas expire? Is your calendar set for
1999?

You will need a full and not an upgrade.
No Beta of any Microsoft operating system has ever been a qualifier for an
upgrade.
