VISTA Performance Service Pack

Doe anyone if and when Microsoft will release a performance improvement
service pack for VISTA? It sure needs it.

SP1 for Vista is supposed to be released in the 4th quarter with the release
of Longhorn Server at the SP1 level.
 
Hi,

As Rck mentions, there is a service pack planned (but I don't know for sure
that it will be in the 4th qtr.). There is no 'performance improment' pack.
The service packs are a collection of fixes for known issues. Performance
problems usually stem from underpowered/minimum spec hardware or
malevolent/non-compliant/resource hogging software.
