Vista Ultimate: using Sony DVD RW device to save a system image of my current
system (yes, i need a DVD image).
I get the above error even before there is a blank disc in the hardware
device & the DVD writer works perfectly well with drag and drop of large
files! IE i doubt it is a hardware device problem.
My only guess is it might be to do with the fact that i have a multi boot
system and so Vista pre-selects ( i have no choice) both the system (Vista
partition) & my different boot drive which contains Vista's bootmgr plus the
XP multiboot files.
I think the error is coming from Volume Shaddow Copy Service - of which i
have no experience.
Can anyone please help/suggest how i can overcome this problem?
I have done the same operation now using Acronis True image - so i am not
exposed but i would like the problem fixed!
