Just downloaded the Office 2007 Beta from MS.

My god Word and Vista with all that black look depressing, its horrible.

Surely MS are going to implement some kind of theming to go with Vista and
the aero basic black can be changed at some point in the future?

You can change it back to blue from the Word settings, I did that, otherwise
it is very depressing, as the rest of the Vista UI.

Aha found it, thankyou.
Yes that looks much better. It matches the Windows Live Writer theme.

Hello,

Office 2007 will default to blue on Windows Vista when it is released.

Well that is a relief, don't want every one to start having dreams about
being the grim reaper :-)

It will be nice if Vista defaults to blue when it is released too, ooh
sorry, they have not implemented a real blue yet; grim reapers will love
that :-)

"Vista Grim Reapers Edition", the special edition will come in a box with
the OS and the complete uniform, including the grim reaper tools.

hehe Black is the new silver?

Is there a way to uninstall Outlook 2007 (only). I installed Office 2007 but
I don't need all the applications. It also takes a real long time to save a
PowerPoint file. I'm running RC1 (5600).

install Beta 2 Technical Refresh for Office 2007 to fix the slow save
problem. if you run the setup you have the option of doing a "default"
install or doing a custom... do custom and install what you want.

Hi,

Go to the Control Panel/Programs and Features. Select the Office install and
click on "change" in the menu bar. Select the option to add or remove
programs, then deselect Outlook from the list.
