Vista newsgroups?

Anyone know of a Vista newsgroup on the order of this one? None of the MS
Vista groups have any posts.

Hi Cooter,

Not sure what you're looking for when you say "on the order of this one",
but you could try the General newsgroup for Vista....it has posts:

microsoft.public.windows.vista.general (newsreader)

No basics yet, but try the following,
Microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation.setup
In the newsgroups.
There are 12 listings to try.

On the contrary, the Vista newsgroups are very active.
Try resetting the newsgroups.
What news server are you using to access them?
Are you using msnews.microsoft.com

Using OE on an XP machine since I don't have the Vista machine completely
set up yet. Just reset the newsgroups here and still come up with "There are
no items in this view". I'll give it a try on the Vista machine using MS
Communities as soon as I get a news account working.

Something to try:

In Internet Explorer, type: news://news.microsoft.com
This will place the news group in OutLook Express for you,
Which you have to OK to download the news group.

Thanks everyone! Apparently my news server is not picking up what's on the
MS Vista groups even though they list it. Anyhow, hooked up with the MS
newsgroups and everythins is fine.
