Hello,

Vista limits the number TCP connections - just like XPSP2. How can we change
this setting? For XP most people went to http://www.lvllord.de/ and
downloaded the patcher to TCPIP.SYS.

Please can Microsoft make an admin option or registry setting to disable or
change this limit? It's REALLY annoying as currently Vista is 2x slower than
my [patched] XP system when it comes to downloading multiple files via
bittorrent.

Surely it's upto *me* / the user how I want to utilise my bandwidth / pipe?

Many thanks

No it's not false. I have several error 4226 in my event log running
beta-2/5384.

Quote : "TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of
concurrent TCP connect attempts".

I get several after 10 minutes of running utorrent on it's default settings.

What is the limit? How can I change it?

When ever you use a torrent client program that will happen. Doesn't matter
how many connections you allow....they will ALL get used.

Ben - you are correct as in XP - Vista Ultimate only allows 10 concurrent
connections. May be different in the Enterprise and Business versions.
