Hi all:

I was chatting with a buddy in the UK today on MSN Messenger and clicked the
"Call Computer" link in Messenger, and BOOM! BSOD!! <sigh> I thought those
years were behind us...

John.

Messenger and Windows Vista currently have a few compatibility issues. Which
version of Messenger and Windows Vista are you using?

Hi Kristan:

Thanks for the response. What's a "Windows Live Butterfly"??

Winver returns "Microsoft Windows Version 6.0 (Build 6000). Messenger is v8
(Build 8.0.0812.00)

John.

A Windows Live Butterfly is somebody who has excelled at beta testing a
pre-release Windows Live product, such as Messenger.

Have you tried Windows Live Messenger 8.1 beta from http://ideas.live.com to
see if it resolves the issue? There have been some fixes in this version
which have corrected some crash issues with Messenger and Windows Vista.

Let me know how it goes,

Hi all:

I am running Vista Ultimate with Dual Monitors, and I get some funky
behavior when I try to watch TV, especially if I try to use a small window
so I can continue working. Watch the video here...

I have a GeForce 7600 GT and the latest NVidia Drivers....If anyone knows
what's going on please let me know.

John.
