When I am sending a new mail the left panel with the oubox folder does not
show that a new memo is waiting to be sent. Even if I have 10 memos in the
outbox the counter is not correct.

I have selected the option to send directly outgoing mail. This never happens.
I have to leave the mail to receive the information that I have mail in the
outbox and the question if I want to send it.
In this case it sends the memos but leave them in the outbox. And at the
following mail I have an error. Nothing then works properly. Old memo already
sent are in error. New one are not sent....
It seams that this versions is a bit out of order. Do I need to go back to
XP ? Or are there some MS solutions ?

In fact I have Norton on my machine and E.mail scanning is not active (both
incoming and outgoing mail).

BINGO.
get the uninstall program from norton.,
download either avg or avast.
run the uninstaller.
install either avg or avast.
you may have to remove your corrupted email accounts and recreate them.

hi! same problem...working with MS since Mon21...over 20hours logged with
them...they've removed antivirus...contacted isp...and still no
solution....did the recommend in this message work for you?

As I previously wrote, my Norton is not and has never been active for mail
(nor incoming nor outgoing). This is a new computer and therefore Norton has
never been active for mail.

"Active for email" or not makes little difference.
Many have reported here that no relief of symptoms was obtained
until Norton was completely uninstalled.

norton tends to interfere regardless.
dump it.
