vista mail hangs

When I try to download a number of emails ore large emails, vist mail will process about 3/4 of them and then just hangs and can not down load any more.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have lots of memory and virtual mem.

First, please use the spell checker. The word "ore" looks like "one" and
made the message confusing.

The likely cause is the antivirus software; what do you use?

That typically indicates a 'stuck' email on the server.
Log in via webmail (using your browser), sort the messages there by date,
delete all the older ones you already have downloaded, plus one more.
Try Windows Mail again.

I have Vista and use Windows Mail and my messages are stuck in my outbox. I
can receive messages but can't send messages.

Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
