vista mail and changing the place of *.pst file

Hi,
if i change the place of this file, vista-mail won´t work anymore.
msoe.dll can´t be loaded.
only when i start vista in protected mode, it works!????
and only then i can turn back my changes.
outlook in any version don´t have these problems.
does anyone know´s what´s the problem?????
